Electric Choral Sitar
Frank Zappa had a choral Sitar but I think it was a different brand. I used it quite a bit while I was with him, specifically on "What's New in Baltimore and "The Theme to the Third Movement of Sinister Footwear". Frank let me hold onto the sitar but after he passed away it felt weird to have it without the family knowing as Frank never actually said "You keep it". So I informed Dweezil and he said I could return it. I decided to buy a new one and have used this choral sitar on virtually every record I ever made with the exception of "Flex-Able" and "Flex-Able Leftovers". I continue to use it, recently on "The Moon and I", "Stairway to Heaven" with MJB, etc.

You Tube:

I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin and progressive rock - that background has always given me a penchant for the more conceptual side of rock music.
I make music to push my own buttons. I've always been driven by an addiction to create sounds that are unique, not better than what other people do, just different.
The most important thing in my life is trying to achieve some sort of spiritual balance because everything flows from that. When I'm looking back on my life when I'm 70, I want to be proud of the contributions I've made to society, not just in terms of music, but socially too. That's what drives me these days.
